Dr. Travis Hunt
Dr. Travis Hunt brings nearly a decade of clinical experience and advanced surgical training to Pine Forest Family Dentistry Powered by Sonrisa. Army-trained in oral surgery with fellowship credentials in oral implantology and sedation dentistry, Dr. Hunt combines precision, compassion, and a biologically focused approach to care that patients can feel from the moment they sit in his chair.
Refined Smiles, Exceptional Care
His pursuit of clinical excellence continued well beyond the military. Dr. Hunt completed a Fellowship in Oral Implantology at C.I.I. through the UNLV School of Dental Medicine, earned his Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and achieved the distinction of Master in the College of Sedation Dentistry from the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He has also trained in ceramic implantology and biological dentistry at Swiss Biohealth in Switzerland, and in IV moderate sedation through Western Surgical and Sedation. This combination of credentials allows him to offer full-arch rehabilitation using both titanium All-on-4 and ceramic All-on-8 implant systems, along with comfortable IV sedation options for patients who need them.
Beyond his surgical focus, Dr. Hunt is an experienced comprehensive dentist with advanced training in restorative, CAD/CAM, and cosmetic treatments, including Botox for both therapeutic and aesthetic purposes. His digital workflow incorporates cone beam computed tomography and CAD/CAM technology for precise implant planning and placement, giving patients predictable outcomes and lasting results.

What sets Dr. Hunt apart is his commitment to serviceDr. Hunt earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California’s Ostrow School of Dentistry, one of the most respected dental programs in the country. From there, he completed advanced training in oral and maxillofacial surgery through both the Naval Postgraduate Dental School at Walter Reed Medical Center and the U.S. Army’s General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. His military career sharpened his ability to perform complex extractions, including all forms of wisdom teeth removal, under high-pressure conditions with an emphasis on efficiency and patient safety.
That extends far beyond the operatory. As Vice President of AYUDA International, a global nonprofit providing philanthropic dental care, he has completed over 19 international dental missions and directed operations for 14 international dental clinics. His humanitarian work has been recognized with multiple Rotary International awards, including the Paul Harris Fellow Award and Person of the Year, as well as a Humanitarian Surgical Service Award from University Implant Educators.
Dr. Hunt is also a published author in philosophy and the creator of the Instagram platform @AlchemyOfWisdom, which has grown to over 260,000 followers. His writing focuses on mindfulness, compassion, and resilience, values that directly shape how he treats every patient. He is excited to call Orlando home, where he plans to raise a family and contribute to the community for the long term. Whether performing a complex implant case or a routine extraction, Dr. Hunt brings the same steady hands, genuine warmth, and dedication to excellence to every patient he sees.
